UK News UK stocks closed better on the back solid quarterly numbers from HSBC, strength in the mining sector and a bumper US jobs report ensured a positive close.Warren Buffett has said he wants to invest more in the UK and other parts of Europe, despite uncertainty over the UK’s future relationship with the EU. “We’re hoping for a deal in the UK and/or in Europe, no matter how Brexit comes out,” the billionaire told his annual shareholders’ meeting.
US NewsUS stocks rose on Friday, rebounding from a two-day loss, as data showed US job creation was stronger than expected in April.The US added a robust 253,000 new hires in April while the unemployment rate fell to 3.6%, the lowest since December 1969.Amazon (+3.2%) led the rally after Warren Buffett told CNBC that one of his investment managers at Berkshire Hathaway has been buying Amazon.
…………BUT on Sunday, President Trump said that tariffs on $200bn of Chinese goods will increase to 25% (from 10%) , despite repeated claims by the administration in recent weeks that trade talks with Beijing were going well. He said the talks were taking too long.

All the leads from Friday night looks positive but since markets have closed we have seen that North Korea have tested some sort of missile and Trump threatening more tarriffs as he is getting impatient with the US/China trade talks. I think this will stifle any real bounce today……….up 18.
